Can I tell you what a luxury it was to actually eat fruit today? My hubby came home from work just raving about the apples he ate. Ahhhh…sweetness!
I tell ya…if nothing else, this Sacred Heart Diet sure teaches you discipline. Tomorrow’s nothing but bananas and skim milk – that should be weird!
AND! I think I will actually lose weight this week. Of course, I didn’t weigh myself before I started, so I won’t know exactly for-sure, for-sure, but I stepped on the scale and the number didn’t send me running to hide in the closet curled into a little ball rocking back and forth and banging the back of my head on the wall. Now, mind you, it didn’t send me shouting from the rooftop either (hello? It’s -15 here right now…who’s going outside?).
ANYWAY. The point of this whole ordeal (and it hasn’t really been that much of an ordeal, to tell you the truth) was to regain some discipline in my eating and to try to clean my body out a little. And you know what sparked it? Over the weekend Hubby and I were watching Change The Day You Die on Discovery Health Channel Canada. WOW. If you haven’t – go and watch this show! It’s amazing to watch people come to terms with what they’ve done and are doing to their bodies every day, and the impact that has on your overall life expectancy. YIKES!
But then again, we also kinda like watching these shows. We don’t smoke. We barely drink (Hubster doesn’t drink at all). We have lost well over 10% of our body weight and kept it off for a year-and-a-half.
Not so bad, eh?
Guess we changed the day we’ll die. Let’s see what we can do to push it back even more!

congrats on your perseverence, kath. you are so going to feel so good after this! i’m trying not to go the harvey’s/nutella crepe route of my last pregnancies, but discipline right now is pretty hard! thanks for the motivating posts.

Kath, I’m a couple of days behind, but I am also detoxing. I am following the Isagenix 9-day detox plan and have already screwed up day 2, but I actually get to eat food tomorrow (+ 2 shakes) so I can’t wait. Unfortunately, I think today’s shreddies and a shortbread cookie may have interfered with the liquid cleanse portion 🙂
