It was a hot and muggy night in Toronto last night, as fans and media gathered at Scotiabank Theatre for the Canadian premiere of the new film Now You See Me.
The film stars Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher and Dave Franco as a troupe of illusionists who are being chased by the FBI (Mark Ruffalo) and Interpol (Melanie Laurent). It also stars Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman.
Before Eisenberg arrived, two very handsome actors were also on the red carpet.
Steve Lund and Paul Greene star in the upcoming CTV series Bitten. Fans of The Vampire Diaries or Twilight movies will want to be on the look-out for this one. Bitten is based on Kelley Armstrong’s Women of the Otherworld novels. It’s about a woman who is bitten by her former werewolf lover, forcing her to survive with the werewolf pack as the world’s only female werewolf. The show is currently in pre-production and will air on CTV Space in 2014.
Jesse Eisenberg arrived and graciously fielded questions from reporters. He’s very energetic and spoke fast. Totally adorable and you just know he’s really excited about the movie. He was also on stage to introduce the movie as we sat down for the screening. Eisenberg said that he hoped we’d like the movie, but since he’s found that we Canadians are so nice, if we didn’t like it, we’d never tell him anyway.
So how was the movie? Come back to the blog tomorrow when I’ll post my review of Now You See Me.
Until then though, you’ll just have to check out the clip of the 3-minute opening sequence of this film. Super-cool.
Now this sneak peek should whet your appetite:
