All The Big Oscar Nominations 2017 (Including Two Canadians In The Running!)

January 24, 2017 by UrbanMoms 1 Comment

After months of box office ratings, critical acclaim and star-studded movie premieres, the moment you’ve finally been waiting for has arrived…

The nominees for the 89th Annual Oscar’s Awards have been released—and two Canadians are in the running to pick up a coveted statuette.

Director Denis Villeneuve received a nomination for his work on the science fiction film, “Arrival” starring Amy Adams. The French-Canadian director from Quebec is best known for his work on crime thrillers, including Sicario and Prisoners, but this movie marks his first Oscar-nomination.

But on February 28, 2017, all eyes will be on another homegrown export. Ryan Gosling, widely lauded for his turn in the musical “La La Land,” has been nominated for one of the top honours of the night; Best Actor in a leading role. It’s not the first time he’s been nominated; in 2006 he received a nomination for his work in “Half Nelson,” where he played a middle-school teaching battling with drug addiction.

The London, Ontario-born actor picked up a Golden Globe earlier in January for Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical. Upon accepting his award for “La La Land,” he gave an incredibly touching speech, thanking wife Eva Mendes for allowing him to take on the role while she looked after their young daughters.

However, he’ll be facing stiff competition from Casey Affleck in the same category. The “Manchester by the Sea” actor picked up the Golden Globe for Best Actor (at the GG there are two categories by genre).

This year’s nominations have been noted for their diversity—a huge contrast to last year’s awards, which garnered the hashtag #OscarsSoWhite. Viola Davis, Denzel Washington and Naomie Harris are among the six black actors recognized for their work.

You’ll have to tune into the Awards Ceremony hosted by Jimmy Kimmel on February 26 to find out who wins. For now, here are all the big nominations for 2017:

TANGIBLE INFORMATION ABOUT CHRISTMAS LOAN FOR PLANNING…

This is not a normal post that you see every day on the internet where people give fake reviews and false information about excellent financial assistance. I am aware that many of you have been scammed and that fake agents have taken advantage of those seeking loans. I will not call these normal reviews, I will call this a situation where I am a living witness of how you can get your loan when you meet the company’s requirements. It really does not matter if you have a good credit score or government approval, all you need is a valid ID card and a valid IBAN number to be able to apply for a loan with an interest rate of 3%. The minimum amount is 1000 euros and the maximum amount that can be borrowed is 100,000,000 euros. I give you a 100% guarantee that you can get your loan through this reliable and honest company, they operate 24 hours online and provide loans to all citizens of Europe and outside Europe. They sent me a document that was checked and tested before I got the loan, so I invite everyone who needs a loan to visit them or contact them via email: [email protected]
    WhatsApp for Europe: +38591560870
    WhatsApp for USA: +1 (717) 826-3251
After you contact them, let them know that Mrs. Dejana Ivica from Zagreb gave you the information. Seeing is believing and you will thank me later when you get a loan from them. I made a promise that after I get a loan from them, I will post the good news to everyone online. If you have friends or relatives, including colleagues, you can tell them about this offer and that it is happening this CHRISTMAS TIME.
