My patience has been thin, these past few weeks. Too much on the go, too many things to remember, too many fights to break up between three snarling girls all day. I have been yelling too much, sighing too much, wanting to escape too much and that is not how I want to be remembered.
I hope they remember this instead:
A mom who let her hair down and let loose on the dance floor, swinging them around in her arms, forgetting about anything but the precious here and now. I need to be that mom a little more often.

Oh, how I know… but, I think they do remember the things that endear us to them. They make their own memories. I wouldn’t worry that they’ll only remember you as snarling back (and anyway, they TOTALLY started it) because they love you. Just as you are. September = new year for us all. *does happy dance*

So so true Amanda.. aaah, my queendom for a girl.. I have 3 boys in 5 years so I feel your pain at this time of the year. I decided to start a FUN jar – we all wrote down things we could do in 5, 15 or 105 minutes and put them into a jar. At least 1-2 times a week, we pull one out. Things like “stop everything and have a dance party” One song and in less than 5 min, you have injected levity and fun back into the mix. Others are watch a movie (good for a Friday night!) or look through baby albums (15 min. option).
