words for wednesday- unless you are pregnant you are having one

“Unless you are pregnant you are having one”
                             my party, my rules-me

I had a weekday lunch party the other day for my dear friend Sam’s birthday. Don’t get me started on just what she means to me- she is simply  amazing.  She makes my life better in a thousand remarkable ways.

And I don’t want you to think that I advocate drinking because actually too much drinking scares the hell out of me, but at the same time- do you ever notice how uptight we can all be- women of a certain age especially? Seriously, yes, we have the weight of the world on our shoulders, life is insanely busy and we can’t miss a beat but isn’t that all the more reason to stop and have a little champagne cocktail and loosen up a little and laugh until you wet your pants?

On Friday I was out with my “wives” friends (I’ve posted about them). We laughed until we cried, choked on our sushi and pee’d our pants.
My soul was full that night!

Laughing until I wet my pants is high on my list of favourite things. 😉
