I signed up for a twitter account last April. Initially I didn’t “get it”..didn’t know what it was for..didn’t even know how to use it (which still is true).
Months later. I now get it. I now use it and you could say that I have replaced Facebook with it. (ok, I should confess that I’m now addicted to it).
I will be turning 45 in April, but I swear I feel like I’m 16 sometimes. Infact 16 year olds aren’t on it, even 20 year olds aren’t on it. I believe it’s that 30 something crowd that uses it. (but I could be wrong).
I am mostly following foodies (big surprise) but I’ve added some moms and some triathletes to mix it up a bit.
Moms have twittered that they are looking for a restaurant to go to with their family or if anyone has instructions for a meccano set. Foodies are sharing their recipes or tweeting about restuaurants they are going to etc. The triathletes are also sharing insightful tips. (which I hope will inspire me). Oh yeah – I follow the news so I know where the latest traffic jam is!!
I have to admit..Im luvin’ my new twitter world. I have learned about events that I would not have known about, or a sale (love sales), and of course I love the contests. (love contests).
So tell me, are you on twitter? do you know people on twitter?
I know very few of my friends are on twitter. But I hope you sign up soon.
Try it. You will like it.

I like twitter- I don’t love it but, like you, I’ve made some great contacts and found out about interesting events through it. I’ve also started reading some great blogs because of random people who started following me.
I like your observation about it being for people 30 and up. Hm- I’m in my twenties still…well, barely, but I’m holding on…but you’re right, most of my “followers” are 30+…good observation- wonder why that is?
