My only real criticism of Holt Renfrew, who have committed to showcasing Canadian designers, is that they need a new lighting person. Keeping in mind that I come from the theatre, where we have incredibly talented designers who can create a lighting masterpiece with a couple of LED headlamps, so I may be a bit biased.
Regardless, I was excited to see what Smythe, Judith & Charles, Mackage & Lida Baday had on offer. Here’s the fabulous, the fascinating and the “wow, it looks like frump clothes from the sale rack at Wal-mart”…

Oooh… some excellence! That creased, crepe-y magenta dress was tres yummy! Extra-long leather gloves? POW! I loved the aviator-style jackets with furry collars too… lovely, lovely pics, ma’am!!
