piss me off-don’t call me dear

Is it just me or is it really the same for all of you that when anyone other than an 85 year old man or woman calls me dear– it is meant in a condescending way? Really bad when they are trying to take you to the cleaners- like auto mechanic, plumber, contractor, knowledgeable country fix it guy at cottage. Worse if you are flirting with someone and they are 15 years younger. You should know better. Then they slap you  in the face  with “ma’am”.

I don’t like it. Don’t call me dear. Or deer for that matter.

*except for my mom. Except for when she has on her mad voice.

I don’t care for any of that “dear” business either. And they can keep “madame” while they’re at it too… I’m just a kid, for goodness sake!!
