Here’s the thing. I have had Jonathan Rhys Meyers on MY LIST since his Velvet Goldmine days…and that was way back in ’98 when he was, um, sparkly.
I’ll take a JRM and Ewan McGregor sandwich full of awesome accents please and thank you!
But, you must admit, if you’ve seen him as Elvis or on The Tudors that he’s not just a (very) pretty face, but, in fact, fairly good at what he does too.
BUT, it seems that JRM and airplanes have some…issues.
It all started way back in 2007, when he was arrested for a foolish drunken display at the Dublin airport…which kind of makes me laugh, because, I mean, it’s Dublin….isn’t everyone drunk? (I kid) (mostly).
And then he got arrested in 2009 in Paris at Charles De Gaulle airport for attacking a server in a bar (of course it was in a bar).
And now, well, basically, Jonathan Rhys Meyers has been BANNED FROM UNITED AIRLINES. According to a source at JFK airport in New York City, JRM began “pounding drinks” very early for his very early flight to Los Angeles and quickly became rude and belligerent. The airline didn’t allow him to board because of his shenanigans.
I just flew United to LAX. How come nothing THIS exciting ever happens on MY flights?
