I am a Laundry Queen.
I have mastered the art of “Camp Laundry 101”.
Here is my list of how you can become a Laundry Queen too:
- GO DIRECTLY TO THE LAUNDRY MAT from the camp
- Do not stop (bacteria is growing by the mili-second..just kidding)
- Get a gazillion coins and then grab a SUPER SIZE machine
- Separate the clothing (try and not notice that everything is damp)
- Try and not notice how many clothes are missing either.
- Try to figure out how much detergent to put in. This is not so easy as the machine is SUPER SIZED. I had a debate about this with another Laundry Queen (a.k.a another camp mom).
- After you have put the machines on…proceed to get a manicure/pedicure. After all, you are a laundry queen and you deserve it.
Summary: I am in love with these super sized laundry machines. It took only two machines. One for dark clothes and one for light clothes. $6.75 per machine and bingo – I am a laundry queen.
- Return for the dryer experience. (look how happy I am – see photo)
All I know is.. it’s OVER.
Well, not exactly. Our son returns in 4 weeks.
REPEAT.

Does it cost a lot more to drop laundry off at a place that does it for you? I heard a few of those have been advertising that they do camp laundry. ANy idea?

OMG! I am so going to do that when we come back from our annual week long camping trip. It drives me insane and it takes so frickin long to do all the laundry from 4 people (One is a 21mth old boy and u know how many clothes those little hellions can go through in a day) this will save my sanity. I can leave the kids with hubby, grab a book and go to the laundry mart — I am now looking forward to it ; )
