This was a sign outside of a church in our neighbourhood. Clever comment for the day of rest.
It made me think of all the outrageous things I have seen people do while they are driving.(It may come to your attention that if I am fully engaged in my own driving, I should not be noticing all of this)
-eating soup
-plucking eyebrows
-putting on makeup
-licking all the stamps and envelopes for Christmas cards
-topless map reading (I promise)-this was a woman on our way back from the zoo several years ago. She was too old to have been breastfeeding also there were no children in the car.
– filing nails and applying nail polish
– costume changes
– shaving with electric razor
– icing and decorating cupcakes
– knitting, sewing, crocheting
-tossing a salad
-getting it on
-taking it off
On Sunday, Mother’s day, I was sitting in a cafe window with a friend and a car was stopped at the light. It was a van with a dog and children in the back. The man driving reached over and grabbed the hand of his wife and kissed it. Was she sad because her own mom is not alive? Was he appreciating her, the mother of his children? Whatever the motivation, I was touched by this. Just to be clear, boys, there is no law against this-hand held is not the same thing as hand held device. Do what moves you and fake it when you aren’t moved. Take example from this guy-I am pretty sure his name was Jesus . I saw a soft glow above his head.

Sometimes I pretty much agree with what is said on your blog. This time around I’m not so sure! Love your site either way though! 🙂

I love people watching – my children often say “you are staring, mom”- but it is so much fun to see how we all behave out there in the world. Thanks for reading and commenting, Amreen.
