OK, since my last Scroogey post about the impending holiday season I have:
1. Finished all of my Christmas shopping
2. Put up our tree and decorated it
3. Baked eight dozen Cranberry Bliss bars for a cookie exchange and came home with a wonderful array of goodies for the season and,
4. Had Bailey’s in my hot chocolate while listening to Christmas music in the evening.
I still don’t feel 100% caught up in the festive spirit of things, but I’m getting there.
I think the frenzied pace of December and all the fun, exciting things it holds, are what are holding me back. There are still so many things to manage, to complete, to remember.
Next week, far-away family arrives and that’s what counts, spending time with them and making memories just being together. The rest is just gravy.
