Do you have a health goal in mind? Are you committed to reaching it? Have you taken any steps towards reaching it? According to Anthony Robbins; "A real decision is measured by the fact that you have taken a new action. If there is no action, you haven’t actually decided."
Does this ring true? How many times have you committed to change…in your mind but never took the first step? (Think New Years Resolutions!) Unfortunately what stays in your mind, well, stays in your mind. You won’t see any changes until you actually take action and if you have read any of my previous articles you will know that I strongly believe that ACTION FOLLOWS MOTIVATION. So since you know you shouldn’t be waiting to get motivated, what are you waiting for?
If you have a health goal, and you really are committed to making it happen, your only option is action. And really, there is no time like the present, so what is stopping you from taking your first step today?
If within the next 24 hours you don’t take your first step towards action….my next two questions to you would be 1) Do you know why it is important for you to reach this goal? 2) Do you know what steps to take in order to reach this goal and how to take them?

If you answered NO to either of these then you need to find a way to change your answers to yes. Read some books, search the internet and get support, professional or otherwise.

If you answered YES to these questions then I have one last question for you, perhaps the most difficult to answer. 3) Do you really want it?
According to Stephen R. Covey, author of 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, there are 3 components to creating new habits. 1) Knowledge – the what to do and and why it is important of creating new habits 2) Skill – the how to of creating new habits and 3) Desire – the do you really want it of creating new habits. If you know what to do, why to do it and how to do it but still don’t do it the only other option is that you don’t want it badly enough.
If you truly want it, you need to take action, now…. Results don’t happen over night so you have to start living today for the tomorrow you want. Most of us have faith that tomorrow will come whether we take action or not so you may as well start acting so that when tomorrow comes you will be one step closer to your goal! Remember, gain the knowledge, learn the skills and make sure you have the desire and nothing will get in your way!
