I love flavor. Period.
Therefore, I am willing to try almost any new flavor. A few months ago I saw a tweet on twitter that said there was Grapefruit Perrier on the shelves. Naturally I had to go find it. Which I did.
I’m not the norm (I know that). I think most people enjoy the same foods, day in and day out. When I saw that M&M’s introduced a COCONUT flavor….I bought it.. I didn’t even think twice about it.
I’m the first to admit that I don’t buy M&M’s regularly. (ok never). But I love new flavors and I’m a sucker for marketing. Sadly they are not available yet in Canada but I hope they arrive soon as they are delicious.
The only food marketing that I’m not a sucker for..is when they introduce new SHAPES.
Do you remember the campaign for diamond shaped Shreddies? or when Mento’s came packaged in squares instead of circles. Sorry…but I didn’t buy any.
A new flavor though..is a new flavor for my tastebuds (and my stomach).
There is a company called “Food Should Taste Good” that makes tortilla chips in chocolate flavor. They are my favorite!! Who would have guessed?
Speaking of food and flavors: Next week, I will be attending the Fancy Food Show in NYC. I will be walking by 1,200 booths for TWO days. I’m sure I will be discovering a few more flavors…just a few!!
I will be staying at the fabulous Hudson Hotel which is a oh-so-fabulous hotel that came highly recommended. My plan is too walk thru the show during the day and enjoy drinks at the Hudson on both evenings.

I totally loved the new Shreddies “diamonds” it made me laugh everytime. Especially because my husband fell hook line and sinker for the commercial and was all “Did you see!!! Shreddies has a new shape?!” After staring at him dumbfounded for a second I walked , silently laughing to my cereal cupboard, grabbed out 1 shreddie and turned it on an angle – his repsonse “You already bought some?!….oh, wait…” Um, ya!
Anyways, how were the Coconut M&M’s they sound kind yucky to me
