Ive been told by more than a few friends (you know who you are), that the Spa’s in Las Vegas are truly spectacular. Even my friends’ husbands’ loved the Spa’s!!
Then one day, while on Twitter (for a change), I saw a tweet from the Mandarin Oriental that they have the only Chinese Foot Spa on the strip. I then recalled the many evenings that I wore high heels and how the next day I paid for it. I thought to myself “Hey, a Chinese Foot Spa” could solve those problems!!!
I clicked on the website, and after taking a look at the photos, I booked an appointment for my Mom and I. It was going to be my birthday present to her and of course, a birthday present to myself too!!!
When we walked into the spa…the peacefulness enveloped us (how poetic eh?). But it’s true. We were taken to these beautiful lime green chairs for our chinese foot spa, that overlooks the Strip from the 23rd floor. We were happy already!
My feet were soaked, a mask was applied, then exfoliated, then a foot/calf massage. How would I describe this treatment? Lets see..the words that come to mind: bliss, heaven, soothing, relaxing, calming. Should I go on?
Then we were invited to see the rest of the spa and the pool. OH MY.
Talk about gorgeous. We tried everything: The personal experience showers, the relaxation lounge, the vitality pools, heated tepidarium chairs, the laconium room, and of course we had to take advantage of 30 more minutes of the Outdoor Pool!!
What really impressed me is the layout of the spa is designed so that everytime you are in a lounge chair, or in the vitality pool, you are facing a view of the Strip.
We were like kids in a playground. It was magical and the Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas should be thrilled that they created such a relaxing atmosphere for their guests with all the bells and whistles.
No doubt..the spa experience will be added to our itinerary from now on!!
