It’s not often that I get the case of the “gimmes” but with at Soia & Kyo’s runway show I wanted it all! This Canadian outerwear brand brings more style and function that it’s known for. The brand has a loyal clientele – I know several people who jump whenever I mention the name and it’s easy to see why. The designs are fun and even this winter could have been more palatable if you’ve got the right coat (or 3) for the season.
The Soia & Kyo Fall/Winter 2014 collection shown at World MasterCard Fashion Week brought warmth to the soul. Colours in the collection brought in caramel tones and warmer whites. Stand out pieces include colours of red and blue.
The Montreal-based brand launched in 2004 by a family run business that supports local production made in Canada. Soia & Kyo style is recognizable often with the use of oversized buttons and hoods. Details like asymmetrical collars and contrast trimmings also reflect the stylings of this line. In 2010, Soia & Kyo introduced a men’s line of outerwear.
My addiction to outwear just expanded.
