Last night we had the privilege of watching Eva and Cuyler perform at their Christmas concert.
Two years ago, when he was in grade 5, Campbell played Santa in the school Christmas concert.
This year it was Cuyler’s turn.
He auditioned for, and got a part in this year’s production.
He got the part of Santa.
The script was sent home and within a day his lines were memorized.
We found an appropriate costume and before we knew it, it was showtime.
He did great. Not like he wouldn’t. He’s a performer. Loves being front and centre.

This was his final performance at this school. His home away from home.
Big changes are coming for our boy. His world is going be to rocked a little and not in a way he will like, but in a way that will give him many more opportunities for success.
It hit both Sean and I as he took his bow (and hilariously asked the principal if she had anything to say after the performance).

I will heed the advice of his drama club teacher and not think of this as his last performance here, but where he had his first of many great performances. What this group of people have given Cuyler over the past 7 years has been the greatest gift to him.
Watching him grow and flourish. Seeing people respect him. Watching him shine during the many performances he has had at this school has been a great gift to us
And we look ahead at greater things to come.
