Let’s start with the crappies so that we end on a postive note.
Crappies
- The wind. It seems to ALWAYS be windy lately. Doesn’t it??
- The rain. Not too too much of it. But just enough to make it into the crappies.
- The clouds. Why do clouds have to exist and make my sons life so hard…? I know they can be pretty and fluffy and you can pretend that they are shapes and animals and food. But man, my kid hates them.
If it could be sunny and windless for..oh…let’s say forever – then that would pretty much relieve most of Cuyler’s anxiety. And most of my frustration in life at the moment.
Happies
- I wore capri pants yesterday. This is a huge milestone. I have not been able to wear capri pants for 2 years – my wearing them makes Cuyler incredibly upset. Not sure why…I think it’s a visual thing. Anybody else can wear them. Just not me. Until yesterday. He was not happy and screamed at me to “CHANGE THEM! CHANGE THEM NOW MOM!” for about an hour and a half. He finally gave up and stopped the fight with me. He even happily exclaimed to his teacher “Look! My Mom’s wearing capri’s!” His teacher knew what a big deal it was. And he’s a guy! I even wore my capri jammie pants to bed without issue.
- I have faint flip flop tan lines on my feet. Summer is just around the corner!
- I am on day 6 of a twelve day detox/cleanse and have not eaten wheat, dairy, sugar or anything processed since last Friday. I feel great and am down 5lbs. I never thought I’d be able to go without chocolate for a day. I replaced cigarettes with chocolate when I got pregnant with Cam. I love chocolate and eat alot of it every day. Or I did. Here I am – 6 days without it.
- Cam made his hockey team!!! He has alot of work cut out for him coming out of net and he knows it. He was so proud of himself for making the team and Sean and I were so proud of him for setting a goal for himself and reaching it.
It’s totally sweet and I love it and I know one day she’ll appreciate the handful of weeds that her daughter will present to her.
I got a couple from Cam when he was little. None from Cuyler. And several a day from Eva.
Is this a girl thing?
Or maybe I should just weed the garden.

- There are more happies than crappies. That’s always a good thing.
A little funny to share
Every so often I get a kidism that I make sure I write down for their scrapbook. This was one from this morning:
Cuyler: Mom! C’mere! C’mere!!
Cuyler: Mom! C’mere! C’mere!!
Me: What Cuy?
Cuyler: I found heaven on google earth! I see heaven!
Curious, I go over. He points to Havana.

Christine – I freaking love your posts. God the next week is not looking better for poor Cuy with this forecast – in turn for all of you.
The heaven/havana thing is kick ass hilarious
