FotoFriday: Part Two

December 7, 2012 by Christine

We live on a fairly small street.

On our fairly small street there are 5 children with autism. Since we moved here it has astonished me that there are that many kids with autism on this fairly small street.
It also astonishes me how many asshats fly around our little circle in their cars while kids are out playing.
So I contacted the town and asked if there was any way to get a sign placed at the entrance of the street, informing people that there are children with autism. Maybe it would prompt people to slow the eff down.
After a few phone calls and a few more follow up emails, I drove into my street and saw this on Monday:

I’m not sure I love the wording of the sign but I am completely appreciative of our town for not hesitating to fulfill our request to help keep our kids safe.
