App Spotlight: The Scientific 7 Minute Workout.

June 24, 2013 by Sonya 5 Comments

I am not one for exercising and I freely admit it. I’ve tried all sorts of things from working out at home with Tai Bo DVDs, joining pilates and yoga classes, personal trainers and going with my hubby to the gym. Other than walking (a lot) nothing inspires me to move …other than a good sale. *winks*

I think I have a short attention span so when I see that something requires me to “get there” and then do some exercise that would take an hour isn’t that appealing. I’m not the type that gets motivated by someone yelling at me either. Kudos for those of you who enjoy that type of encouragement. My husband will tell you that I’m not the kind of person you tell what to do because I will go the opposite way.

So, the other day a new APP came to my attention that just launched last week while I was eating buttery croissants in France.

The Scientific 7 Minute Workout by Endloop. (99 cents available on iTunes)

How does it work?

The site says it offers “Maximum Results with Minimal Investment”.

There is a series of exercises that should be completed quickly, allowing 30 seconds for each exercise (there’s a timer). In between each exercise there is a 10 second break. It should take you 7 minutes to complete.

The exercises and the concept of high intensity training in a short time span aren’t new but what is appealing is that it doesn’t require you to have any additional equipment other than a chair or a wall. Easy enough for busy moms like us to quickly get in a little training at home or away, right?

Visually it’s appealing to me. Simply laid out and not busy. It’s based on a few movements that you can easily do anywhere. Plus you can download it onto your iPhone.

I’m going to give it try. But I’ve been warned, it’s not light exercise but it’s efficient. That’s what I want.

How about you? Are you like me and get bored with exercising easily? What motivates you?
