In celebration of Ontario Wine Week (June 16 to 22), why not take in a great event with some of the top chefs and wineries of the province?
sip & Savour Ontario is gearing up for its highly anticipated event! On Wednesday, June 19th, the night out will showcase what Ontario has to offer joining forces with award-winning chefs pairing culinary delights with top wineries.
“There is no question that the quality of Ontario wines has improved immeasurably in the last five years,” notes Tony Aspler, wine writer and partner of sip & Savour Ontario. “At sip & Savour Ontario participants will be able to taste the best of them.”
Foodies and wine lovers will be offered award-winning VQA wines, live cooking demonstrations and a few special features that will be announced that evening.
Le Petit Popelin will be making its Ontario debut at sip & Savour Ontario. Choux pastry, first invented in 1570 by Italian Chef Popelini, has developed over the ages and become known as Popelin. This unique ‘Popelin’ dessert has recently taken Paris by storm and attendees will be among the first to experience it at their pop-up food truck during the event.
