So, after last week’s post, musing about the possibility of trying the Paleo diet, I just kind of quietly went for it. I didn’t have grandiose dreams of sticking with it for a month, or even a week, but just took it one day, one meal, at a time.
I did it. And am still doing it.
Here’s what I learned:
1. I thought I didn’t really rely on sugar to get me through the day. I was WRONG.
2. I lost five pounds.
3. Meat is still kind of gross, but if you season it enough and thinly slice it, I can get it down.
4. A splash of maple syrup in my coffee makes it taste less like hot tar.
5. Life feels kind of weird without all of my favourite things.
I don’t know how long I’ll keep at it…still just trying to make good choices, one day at a time.
I need to get a little more prepared and get some more recipes under my belt since I know I will take a naked swan-dive into a tub of salted caramel ice cream if I don’t add some more variety to things.
So, anyone have any great Paleo recipes to share?
Anyone?
Bueller?

Currently shooting the 2014 Tourism Guide – please advise on schedule for naked swan dive 🙂 I wondered why you ate only strawberries on Saturday in the face of all that lovely dessert
