So, I happened by the place the rhymes with Sinners the other day, mostly perusing the shoes, the way I often do… and didn’t I find this cute pair of Converse sneakers? And weren’t they just the right price for budget-savvy moi?!
They read like a burgundy + pink tweed which gives them an all-over puce kind of colour (not puke – that’s different) and they’re lined with hot pink satin. RAWR! (And they’re not as dark as they appear in this picture.)
I deem them exactly right for getting around town these days, since boots sometimes feel too hot and clunky, but I’m not nearly ready for open toes just yet.
I’m gonna wear them while I ride Oliver’s scooter around inside the house today. Let’s go spring, I’m ready! #skatergirl

I love me some Chucks too. The boy is finishing up with a pair of black hightops, and Madame had some herringbone ones when she was two or three, but at preschool, they require slip-ons or velcro… but Kindergarten begins in the fall, and I aim to teach her to tie her own shoes within the year… so Ill find her some excellent Chucks soon, I hope!!

You know I’m all about the Chucks, too – those ones are sweet! I have a dark purple pair and black with greay and pink hearts (some broken) and my new black hi-tops with the cover art from American Idiot on them, which I wore to see Green Day last night… Yeah, I love me some Chucks, and it makes me incredibly happy that my girl is turning out the same. 🙂

Im with you, Julie – weekday ones, weekend ones, and “fancy” dress, like the ones Jason is going to get… excellent, all. I hope they turn up in a Sinners near you soon. I didnt see them in any other colour, but it struck me that a black + white variety would make for a tres excellent tweedy-grey… you know, for formal wear. 😉
Go and GET them, Cayla! Theres no age limit for the Chucks… NEVER!! (Ive always had at least one pair in rotation.) Get two pairs, girl… and wear them well! 🙂

converse will forever be in my closet and they should be in yours. there is a certain swagga one gets with noo shooz and especially converse. you have gotten me all excited because this can only mean that theyll be popping up here, too (i hope!)
i have a pair with white polka dots, plain white (for formal wear!) and a purple pair with crowned kitties on them. even had a red pair for my wedding cuz you just cant polka in heels.
