It seems that Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling are just like us when it comes to parenting.
“They are not a typical Hollywood couple,” a source tells PEOPLE of Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes. “They don’t have a nanny. Instead, Eva’s family, including her mom, help out.”
Mendes is pregnant with the couple’s second child and from the sounds of it they’ve got things covered between the two of them no problem—with a little extra help from their families, of course. Their families offered a vital support system as the young parents found their way the first time around with Esmeralda. “Eva’s mom practically lived with them to help out with the baby,” shares a source.
Gosling and Mendes’ parenting style has been hands-on right from the beginning. During Mendes’ first pregnancy, her hubby would come along for most of the check ups and stayed by her side all through the delivery.
The couple even took decorating into their own hands, getting Esmeralda’s room ready themselves instead of hiring a decorator.
A source shared that Gosling will also often run errands and grocery shop. If one of them is working, the other will stay home with their daughter.
Looks like they’ll have everything under control with the arrival of their second baby—no problem balancing careers and home life here.
