I bought my MacBook a few months ago. I did not blog about it. (Surprise).
When I plunked down my visa to cover the cost of the MacBook and for the cost of the carrying case, I was asked “Would you like One to One Lessons? For $99 you can have as many one to one lessons for a year!!. Each lesson is an hour”.
I’m sure there was a delayed response. Freak, I was already shelling out a lot of money!!! Did I REALLY need to spend another $99 for lessons?
I replied “ok..sure”. (but with hesitation).
I went home and realized that the MacBook was pretty user friendly. I was feeling pretty good great that I was able to click myself thru the screens and learned quite a bit on my own.
However a month went by, and I realized that I really should learn more. So I went online and clicked away to book an appointment at my local Apple Store at Yorkdale Shopping Centre.
THE ONE to ONE LESSON was brilliant.
SO brilliant that I have now had FOUR One to One lessons.
Each lesson was with a patient staff member who answered any question I had, who walked me thru anything I wanted and were so well trained, it wasn’t funny.
Apple Rocks. I am in love with my iPhone and now I’m in love with my MacBook.
Naturally it would only be fitting that I really really really want an iPad.
Wonder how long I can restrain myself. It’s been hard. Every time I go into the Apple Store I tell the staff person to make sure I dont leave with an iPad.
Anyone else wanna share their great experiences with Apple?

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.
I think Apple is so much better then Microsoft.

I swear by the one to one lessons. They are fabulous… Just renewed them for another two years.
