Wouldn’t you know that the world of Twitter introduced to me to yet another product line.
First it was grapefruit flavored Perrier and now its TOPSHOP.
A month ago, there was a lot of excitement about TOPSHOP on twitter. Everyone seemed to be tweeting about the arrival of TOPSHOP in Toronto.
To be honest I had never heard of TOPSHOP before, but I knew that I wanted to see it based on all the buzz. So I contacted the PR agency that was handling the preview (@brillcommunications) and they kindly set up an appointment for me to drop by.
So off I went!!
Just so you know, TOPSHOP is in a dedicated space of a boutique called Jonathan+Olivia. The merchandise is youthful, hip, trendy and affordable. I love the concept that the merchandise will rotate every two weeks!!
I didn’t buy anything as I’m off to NYC this week. (such restraint eh?). But I tried on a gorgeous crocheted cardigan that I was very tempted to buy.
After the preview, I called my mom in Ottawa. I told her that I had gone to the preview of TOPSHOP and she said “oh…that’s a great store. Great stuff”. I said “how do you know about it?” (she is 71 years old), and she replied “I read magazines”.
My mom is simply the kewlest and so is TOPSHOP.

you roomie! how exciting! i too am a “magazine fan” of Topshop a la your cooler-than-cool mum. Kate Moss does a line for them which is quite fab! enjoy your trip to nyc and make foodie notes galore for me pleeaaase!
