I love my morning coffee and try to support the independent coffee houses as much as I can.
One Sunday morning, I actually did a coffee crawl…but after 3 cups of coffee I had to stop. Not to self: limit caffeine. 3 cups in 3 hours…not a great idea!!
Due to the nature of my job, I have the opportunity to check out different coffee houses in different neighborhoods. Lucky me, eh?
Lately, I have been snapping photos. Try and guess which coffee belongs to which coffee house.
PS. I love the third photo so much that its the background image on my iPhone!!
Don’t forget to tell me which independent coffee houses you love, and why!!

Kopi Luwak, also known as cat poo coffee, is taking New York by storm! It is made from the fecal droppings of a cat like creature, the civet. New Yorkers are shelling out $30 a cup for this unusual treat, according to the NY Daily News.

I am guessing Leitteri is in there somewhere…. and one of the “heart” cappucinos may come from the coffee bar at Dupont and Christie….lost the name now. And was the first one from Pain Quetiedien (sp?) on Eglinton? The table looks like one of their tables…..
Ok, too much time on my hands ignoring kiddies now to discuss coffee… and I am only a decaf soy latte drinker…
Carol, i have the same problem and I have grown to like the Starbucks Soy lattes… Lactaid ones are ok too, sadly independent coffee shops rarely have soy milk.
I did get a good one at Balzac’s Coffee shop in the Distillery . Yum

I have to say that Ezra’s Pound coffee has quite the powerful punch! (Dupont just E. of Spadina.)

Vicky do you take a lactaid pill when you drink your coffee? Have you found a really good soy latte? I love coffee but milk does a number on my stomach. I am weary of trying a soy substitute. Can anyone recommend a great coffee house that makes good soy beverages?
