So how do you relax? T’is an important question. (for us, busy moms and dads)
Do you go to the gym? Do you find baking/cooking relaxing? Do you find playing games with your kids relaxing? Do you read a book and relax?
Lots of choices, non?
Personally, if I had to answer that question, the answer would be: BODY BLITZ.
I discovered Body Blitz when they first opened (they had tons of press in Toronto). After my first half marathon I decided I would go directly from the finish line RIGHT to Body Blitz. I thought that it would be a good place to relax my tired muscles. (always thinking ahead..LOL).
Body Blitz was PERFECT…which is why I keep going back. Infact, I asked a cousin who wanted to know what to bring as a dinner gift, and I replied “can you get me a certificate for water therapy at Body Blitz!!”
It’s an 11,000 sqf renovated warehouse, with exposed brick, soothing lights, fresh flowers, relaxing chaise chairs and WATER THERAPY.
This means, for $48, I get to dip in the sea salt pool, then dip in a cold plunge pool, then dip in a green tea pool, then go to the aromatherapy steam room, and then finally into the infrared sauna.
Not exactly in that order. They provide information on an actual circuit to follow. (smart eh?)
Then I relax in a chair, read a book, enjoy a tea and REPEAT!!
It’s two hours of relaxation.
I completely unwind at this place. Completely. I forget everything…(well not carppool..but close).
So back to the initial question: How do you relax?
P.S. Forgot to mention: It’s only for women!!

Relaxing out in my back garden, in my cool new hængekøje reading this article, a cool drink in one hand, and the laptop computer in the other, life is just fantastic.

Hey, I liked reading through this post. It’s an intriguing topic, not one I am that knowledgeable about but certainly want to know more about. Steve

Vicky – don’t let too many people in our secret…body blitz…it’s getting so busy. It’s the greatest place ever. At Christmas I went and I was early, and they opened early and for 20 blissful minutes, I was the only one in the place. I felt like I was bathing in my own castle – incredible.
