Well I’m pleased to annouce that finally they have moved my dad from the hospital to rehab.
It’s now been five weeks since the car accident and I’m going to visit my parents in Ottawa to celebrate his arrival to the rehab.
In order for this trip to take place, I had to move mountains (well not exactly but you know what I mean). My hubby will also be away so this meant:
-arranging sleepovers
-packing ski equipment in advance
-emails to three different families with phone numbers, contacts, etc.
-arranging car pools
-phone calls
-packing suitcases for them as well as for myself
-aranging gifts for these lovely families who are taking care of my kids
I’m exhausted and I haven’t even left yet. The good news is that I have some great friends who will help me out when I need help. I am ever so grateful to be surrounded by a fabulous network of friends.
I’m also really excited to go to Ottawa and hang out with my mom and provide her with some company and to see my Dad.
Plus…it looks like the weather is going to cooperate which is a bonus when you are going to Ottawa.
So I’m packing up my skates (Rideau Canal here I come) and my gym stuff as their is a GoodLife gym two blocks from my parents condo and I’m committed to atttaining my goals (so serious eh?).
Wish me, safe travels!!
