Great post. Thanks ladies, I have found some of these songs and put them on a playlist. Jen, Bulletproof totally rocks. Janet, loving the Weezer song “If You’re Wondering If I Want You….” so cool.
Some of my classic favs are:
Bizarre Love Triangle– New Order
Love in Stereo– The Monks
Paper Planes– MIA
I Melt with You– Modern English
Fly on the Wall– Miley Cyrus (me too Jen!)
Waterloo– ABBA
Friday I’m in Love–The Cure
Why Can’t I Be You–The Cure
Ultraviolet– U2 (a great warm up song…always at the start of my long runs)
Be My Girl
OK, have to stop…. Would love to hear some more great ideas.

I love the first album by Weezer for running. Not sure why but it totally energizes me! Also love Let’s Get it Started by Black Eye Peas and Switch by Will Smith!

Here’s some of my crazy playlist that is dire need of an update:
Pump It – Black Eye Pea
Stronger – Kanye West
Gold Digger – Kanye West
Work It – Missy Elliot
So What – Pink
Mr. Brightside – The Killers
All The Small Things – Blink 182
Jesus of Suburbia – Green Day
Minority – Green Day
Then throw in some Dixie Chicks, Katy Perry and Talyor Swift…
And Jen – Jerry O’Connell was on TMZ once and he was running with his ipod, singing Party in the USA!

I use iTunes Genius a lot; pick a song I feel like running to and create a playlist from my library based on that song. My last run had Kick Drum Heart (The Avett Brothers), Spaceman (The Killers), Rebellion (Arcade Fire), Two Daughters and a Beautiful Wife (Drive by Truckers) and I’m Amazed (My Morning Jacket). I will also create a playlist full of poppy, quick tunes like Lady GaGa, Black Eyed Peas, Pat Benatar (looove running to Battlefield), Billy Idol (Dancing with Myself makes me run fast), Eminem and Kanye. Then I mix those two playlists so that I’m constantly kept “on my toes”.
Jensays
Moulin Rouge (Christina A. et al), Suddenly I See (KT Tunstall), Bulletproof (La Roux), Just Dance (Lady GaGa), Not N’ Cold (Katy Perry), Tik Tok (Ke$ha), In My Head (Jason Derulo), I Gotta Feeling (Black Eyed Peas), and yes, I’ll admit it, I actually have Party in the USA on there and it works!
My list changes all of the time but there are a few faves. Good luck and looking forward to hearing from others!
