Say what you will about Frozen and “Let It Go”, but that movie has made a huge difference in the lives of children everywhere.
Case in point, the kids at the Boston Children’s Hospital. Members of the Boston Bruins made their annual Halloween visit to the hospital earlier this week dressed as, you guessed it, the cast of Frozen. Just imagine that for a second. We are talking six foot professional hockey players dressed as Elsa, Anna and everyone in between. All to put a smile on a child’s face.
In what they termed “reverse trick or treating”, the players brought Bruins goodies to the sick kids.
Doug Hamilton, a Defenseman dressed as Elsa, really got into his role and even pulled off Elsa’s signature spin quite well. “It’s pretty enjoyable for us, so hopefully it is just as enjoyable for the kids,” Hamilton said.
Torye Krug, also a Defenseman, got to done the Olaf the snowman costume and recognized that “any temporary relief you can give [the families] is definitely beneficial.”
