Just to be clear, I don’t tell you about art camp because I think you are fascinated with my day job. I tell you about it because I want to re tell the power of taking this thing that looks like this and remind myself and you of how it can be transformative the way every life task and moment can be.
This is my little thing I do that makes a difference.
I like to share the magic that we all have.
Last week, the camp had a few homesick children. I am their sherpa, their coach, their friend, their mentor and mom away from home as they climb through a week away that sometimes sits before them like a mountain.
I am also there to learn from them.
Each day we have a ‘lesson’ at breakfast and on the last day I asked Fraser, my very own superhero, to re-iterate the one I had explained that day. His audience was the families that came for the Gallery Walk and play .
As they say-Hear it and understand it, write it and know it, teach it and it is yours.
Listen to Fraser teach. You won’t regret it.
