Sorry, I forgot to take an "after picture" when I posted my post-cleanse results. And so, without further ado:
BEFORE:
Here’s what I notice:
- My skin! Look at my rosy cheeks and bright eyes in the after pic
- My waist is a little smaller (it must be, I lost 2+ inches off it!) as is my bust (ditto on the 2+ inches there, too).
Other than that, I mostly notice the difference in how I feel. I tell ya, if 12 days ON Isagenix didn’t convince me, 2 days off certainly did! Hubster and I were back at it on shake day today and with gusto! I bought a brand-new blender… (the old one broke…waaaah!) …and happily whipped up our breakfast shakes.

One more quick comment; great article in March issue of Shape magazine. It’s called “9 most common kitchen mistakes” (page 178). Great tips on eating healthier and they’re super easy to follow. In fact, lots of great articles in this mag – it got me totally inspired to stick with my ‘new’ healthy lifestyle. See what other programs the celebrities are trying for weight loss PLUS some great butt exercises (page198) that you can do at home while watching your favourite shows. I’m in love with Cashmere Mafia – Lucy Liu’s outfits are fantastic!

Wow – both you and Jen look fantastic – love the after pictures – you’re much braver than I am! Congrats on sticking with it ladies!! It’s a tough thing to do in our fast, frenzied world. I had time to contemplate my cleansing ‘journeys’ on my recent vacation. I had finished my 3rd round of 11 day cleansing in the past year and took off for Hawaii feeling light and energetic. What surprised me was our eating behaviour while we were away (4 of the 6 of us had been cleansing on and off for the past 12 months). Without ever talking about it ,we all just intuitively sought out healthy meals the entire trip – and we LOVED it. Granted it’s easier to do in Maui where the local commitment to organic, local and fresh is incredible. We had fresh fish for dinner everynight and sometimes for lunch as well, lots of fresh fruit, Isagenix shakes for breakfast (with the fresh fruit), few carbs, lots of veggies and not a stitch of fast food (well maybe some fries with my fish taco!) I also had some of the freshest sushi I think I’ve EVER tasted!! Yes we indulged – we drank a little too much with dinner every night and enjoyed a few at lunch, had some fantastic gelato and enjoyed the best cappucino’s I’ve ever tasted – BUT the point I’m making is that we really didn’t need that holiday junk fix that we would have a year ago. Holidays, vacations, cottaging, etc. It all used to be about relaxing AND over-indulging; alot of it around food and drinking. That was part of the fun or so I thought. Anyways, not this trip. We had the trip of a lifetime, totally relaxed, laughed our heads off the whole 10 days, ate fantastic meals, drank some terrific wine, and came home the same weight we left with – WOW! Even my husband who is Italian and who takes his food VERY seriously, said he never even thought about the chips and cookies and other excesses of past vacations – wow – what an attitude shift! The truth is that after looking at our vacation pictures, I probably look no different to anyone than I did a year ago. Yes , I notice the few less inches here and there but no swimsuit magazines are asking me to pose anytime soon – and I couldn’t care less. I’m realizing that has little to do with it. It’s how I feel that has made the difference and my impression about how I look. My husband has always said that there is nothing sexier than a woman who looks confident in her own body and who carries herself with ease. Like Jen, I really feel fantastic and the fact that I’ve completely changed my attitude about food and nutrition and my approach to meal preparation, quantities, etc. And having a much leaner, happier, healthier husband to hopefully enjoy the rest of my days with is just a bonus!! (and yes – he went straight to his mums for a big bowl of pasta the minute he got home!)
p.s My 151/2 year old daughter is dying to try the cleanse so that should be interesting!! it’s completely safe for kids but I’m not sure she realizes that pizza at the school cafeteria will be out of the question! We shall see……

It sounds like this was a great learning experience for you (& Hubster). Unfortunately we as a society have forgotten to really listen to our bodies (or never really knew how to in the first place) on what hungry & full is. I think we just know stuffed or famished. It sounds like this cleanse helped you re-educate yourself on those principles (well done, because it is not an easy thing to do).
Good luck with the rest of the 30-day program & please let us know how you are doing when the month is done.
Btw, you look great in the after pic (but frankly you looked pretty great in the before pic too)!!
And ya, how much does all of this cost?
