You Decide: Did Bill Paxton “Lose to Cancer”???!?!?!?

January 20, 2010 by Unknown

At around the :44 mark of this video, after it was announced that Michael C. Hall won the Best Actor in a Drama Golden Globe for his role on Dexter, Bill Paxton says something….

Now, the internet is buzzing that what he says here is “I lost to CANCER.”

Now, if this is true, Bill Paxton is really no better than the role we REALLY remember him for…Chet Donnelly. (It’s NOT Titanic. or Big Love. Oh no. It’s not.)

But, I’ll be honest with you. I have watched this video more times than I care to disclose.
And I cannot see it.
Maybe I’m just a really bad lip reader. Or maybe he didn’t actually say it. Maybe what he said was “I lost to DEXTER” which you could see him saying without coming off as a giant dick.

What do you think?
Can YOU see it?

Why is Creating a Mosque at Ground Zero actually allowed to come about? I have not heard anything at all so absolutely outrageous in all of my entire life. If this by chance comes to reality, It will likely to be the worst thing of all time. alana

He did NOT say “I lost to cancer”. WTH??? Plus, he was smiling and acting graceful “in defeat”. Nope. And OMG, I totally forgot he was Chet!!!

No way. Watched it many, many times and I just don’t see it. Plus, his face and body language were not communicating anything like that.

I’m sure that’s not what he said. I am not a lipreader either, but it’s pretty easy to know what he ISN’T saying, and he isn’t saying “I lost to cancer”.

I can’t see it at all (and I don’t want to see it…I think Bill Paxton’s a nicer guy than that; he brought his daughter to the awards!!!)
On another note, I really hate that my brain is so inflexible that every time I hear Michael C. Hall’s name, I have to remind myself that it’s not Anthony Michael Hall. Every SINGLE time I hear his name I have the same thought process “Rusty Griswald is really Dexter…and he’s got cancer?” ugh.

Pretty sure it said something like I got beat by Dexter.. certainly not cancer
