I love this scene so much from one of my favourite modern Christmas movies, LOVE ACTUALLY. It is so raw and honest and brave and Silent Night happens to be my favourite Christmas Carol.
You need to know that Mark is best friends with Juliet’s new husband and has been rotten to her because he secretly loves her and can’t bear to be kind to her for his pain of not having her. Now while it is questionable as to whether it is good to profess undying love to your best friend’s new mate- he does state ” without hope or agenda” that he loves her. And the two thumbs up are to say ‘we are good now’ and I am moving on. I love the layers to this.

I am actually NOT going to watch this clip, because I have EVERY INTENTION of watching this film properly this holiday, come hell or high water.
