“He’s not dead, he is only mostly dead”
from one of my favourite movies The Princess Bride and one of my favourite campers today at Art Camp
The girls found a frog today and ran screaming to me
“Nancy, Nancy this frog is dead.”
“Look at him he is so skinny, he must have starved to death.”
They begin kissing him and petting him. (yes- with a poof – I wondered if a prince might magically appear)
“Nancy, we have to bury him, can we?”
“Of course”
“Can we paint a tombstone and make it special?”
“Yes, he deserves at least that.”
They run away.
Ten minutes later-
“Nancy, I think his eyelids moved. He isn’t dead – he is only mostly dead”
“Well then you might not want to bury him.”
“Right, I think we will build a habitat for him.”
“Actually, Nancy I think he is dead.”
“Can we bury him?”
“Of course”
“But what if he is alive?”
“Maybe a night in the habitat and then we can see?”
More kissing and petting of Froggy. Still no prince.
What’s with the no prince?
I am pretty sure he’s mostly dead.
Nancy says
“stop rhyming and I mean it
while you are at it pass me a peanut”
Tracey says
Heh. I love that movie. I’m sure I’ve seen it a bajllion times. (Okay, maybe forty – minimum!!) That’s inconceivable, I know. 😉
Nancy says
I know. Shockingly disappointing
Chantel says
Ha, ha too funny. I can’t believe they actually kissed it! Mine would never. And yes what is with the no show for the Prince??
