“Everyday I pick you up. We go out, have a few drinks, a few laughs, and it’s great, but ya know what the best part of my day is? It’s the 10 seconds from when I pull up to the curb and I get to your door, and I am hoping you won’t be there. No good bye, no see you later, no nothing. Just picked up and left. I don’t know much, but I know that.”
Chuckie to Will, Good Will Hunting
I love this quote because Chuckie is Will’s best friend. For those of you who don’t know the movie (hurry up and watch it 2x for what you will miss the first time) Chuckie is simple, leading a simple life and loves his best friend Will. Will is brilliant but deeply troubled and choosing to dumb himself down rather than exploit his talents.
I love this line because it is so unselfish and so filled with hope- his best friend wants him to have what he cannot even if it means losing him.
Thanks to my pal Sara- here is the video. Incredible.

Yes!! AND>>>>>>> I was totally tickled when I read in Malcolm Gladwell’s book Outliers.
He documents how a young man who was a janitor in a school-house used to sneak into the music room and play piano. This was just after WW1.
He was found by psychology professor who over-heard him. His playing was so stunning he was given a IQ test and he was indeed brilliant with an over- 140 IQ.
Well, I guess the screenplay was not as original as I had thought but the film is still amazing.
I wonder how many high IQ diamonds are in the rough?
Guess what competes with a high IQ for success? Practical Intelligence.
So there’s hope for all of us to make it out there with luck, hard work, and some help from our friends.
