A few days ago Thatcher and Tanner appeared to have what seemed like a cold, which in turn triggered the asthma which then triggered vomiting, which I thought was being caused by all the coughing. They had a slight fever which I thought was from the cold.
Hmmm. Wrong. So very wrong. Suddenly out of no where I became ill. I felt horrible and my bones ached – I figured that was due to my severe osteoarthritis. Nope I had a pretty violent stomach bug that lasted for just over 24hrs.
All I could do was lay down, it hurt too much to move and when I tried to my head felt as though it was about to bust open. Oh how I felt so guilty. As I am the laundry queen I knew laundry was quickly getting behind and that I would soon pay the price of being sick. How dare me!
Finally I woke up and was able to move – I finally felt semi normal. However, as soon as the children were in school and the twins were napping I knew what was waiting for me:
ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG I really hate laundry!
Yes there was at least 6 loads that were behind schedule!
But that wasn’t the worse of it – oh no. Did you forget I have 8 children? This morning Ryley woke up sick and tonight Marie was hit so that means only 4 more children left. The laundry won’t go away though because that many children means a lot more vomit and a lot more sheets / towels / clothes to wash!
Next week the flu shots are scheduled.
Do you and your family get the flu shot each year? Do you think it helps?
Until next time

Oh, POOR YOU, Chantel! It’s awful when moms get sick, but I can’t even imagine trying to catch up with EIGHT kids. The laundry… oh lawd!! I wish I could come and help you, lady.
My husband and I have been talking about flu shots lately, and I think they’re more helpful when a person feels susceptible… we’ve had them in the past, and the kids have had them too (no issues, no worries) but I’m still trying to decide whether or not we need them this year. Still mulling it over. I hope I haven’t just jinxed myself!!
Feel better soon, lady! Your family needs you!!
