Wow, it’s that time again…a whole year has gone by and now we all can reflect back to what we have accomplished, and how we have grown through a year full of challenges, rewards, trials and stressors. Looking back, I’ve really noticed a change for the better in my own life. I have been very fortunate to go through many new experiences, meeting lots of new people and “living life to the fullest” several times over the year. But, I’ve also have had pain, disappointments, and frustrations along the way…
So now, it’s time to make a “New Year’s Resolution” for 2010. Hmmm, what will it be this year? Something attainable and not too overwhelming that won’t set me up for failure. I have won the battle for exercise motivation, through learning proper exercise techniques, ways to do the most effective ones in the least amount of time, and the importance of supplements and “clean eating”. But, I’m somewhat lacking on that nutrition side…still battling my sugar addiction, though definitely understand the component and importance of balance. Yup-that’s it…back to rehab for my SUGAR addiction, and eating cleaner. That’s my New Year’s Resolution.
Speaking of making positive change…my husband, daughter and I went to our local McD’s the other day for supper. Uhum, after I finished cleaning a table for us to sit and eat our meal, I actually looked around and thought, “Wow, my people need to hear about this…” We were quite disgusted for yet another time about how unkempt the restaurant was. I actually have had friends complain to me also about this same issue. So I thought, well if this is one issue that could be improved, what others are there? We all have to face criticism at one time or another. In fact we are our hardest on ourselves, but we always learn and grow. McD’s wants to hear about any areas where they can improve, and we, the “Fab 5” have always let them know.
So now it’s your turn…WHAT’S YOUR BEEF?

Glad to hear your McDonalds is clean and well represented. Wow great on ya for getting up that early to exercise! I’m not an early morning girl, so tend to do it later in the day. I eat well until evenings when I want sugar/carbs. Have quit twice now, but still having probs with the LACK OF CONTROL. That sums up my issue right there. I actually had the nerve to sit and eat chocolate covered pomegranate candy last night while watching Biggest Loser! Needless to say I’m off to the gym today…and may stop and pick up a McD’s salad for supper. Thanks for the comments…keep them coming! Kath

I can relate to having a sugar addiction! I have no problem motivating myself to exercise. Monday-Saturday I wake up at 6:10 am to run and workout on my elliptical trainer. But give up my sweets, now that’s impossible! Quite frankly I live to eat. I can’t go a day without indulging in something sweet.
I have no issue with the cleanliness of our local McDonald’s. It’s actual quite nice. It has a lovely decor and has a beautiful faux fireplace. I just hate standing in the long lineups. I always seem to choose the wrong line and always have to wait forever to be served.
