ONTARIO SCIENCE CENTRE – Leonardo da Vinci’s Workshop: The Exhibition
Leonardo was not just an artist, he was an inventor, scientist, musician, architect and a real visionary. This exhibition focuses on the mechanics of his inventions using visuals, unique models and interactive technology that appeals to all ages. Visitors will learn and be inspired by one of the greatest and most important innovators in history. Adults and children will be captivated with the many facets of this exhibit. Did you know that Leonardo was left-handed and wrote everything backwards? Or that he was fascinated with nature and how things worked? Art lovers who are curious about his paintings of Mona Lisa or his self-portrait will be interested in the interactive L3 technology which provides a rich and detailed understanding of his artwork. ART GALLERY OF ONTARIO (AGO)- becomes the Kid’s Gallery of Ontario!
For Family Day only, the AGO be transformed to offer a family-friendly art making extravaganza! The day long “Kid Nouveau” exhibition will invite kids to be creative from painting to sculpture and installation art. Instructors from the AGO Gallery School will give hands-on instructions. An installation of the kids’ artwork in the Gallery will be part of the first ever Kid Nouveau exhibition. An all-day party will be attended by famous artists from the past including Pablo Picasso and Frida Kahlo. Quick kid-centric and family friendly tours of the gallery halls will also be offered. Canadian International Auto Show – Metro Toronto Convention Centre
Love cars? Take the family down to this massive Auto Show and see the newest models from almost every car maker in the world. Visit the Auto Exotica zone where you will get up close with an Aston Martin, Lotus, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Maserati, and more. Too much walking for the little one? Drop them off at the Volkswagon Children’s Playcare Centre. Lots to see and do at this show and make sure you bring your camera! Visit The AutoShow for more information.
