What’s Cracking?

March 2, 2010 by corinnepayne

…A fresh egg every time you order a McDonald’s Egg McMuffin.  Order it any way you like, bacon, ham or sausage… but rest assured it is a fresh egg!

McDonald’s quality standards are so high that at the grill there are two spatulas to prevent any cross-contamination:
1. The yellow spatula is used to poke the yolk when it goes on the grill.
2. The white spatula is used throughout the egg cooking process.

And, why are those McMuffins so perfectly round every time?  There is a special mold that is placed on the grill and the eggs are placed in it to be cooked.  The mold is a patented McDonald’s piece of equipment… we saw the official patent at the McDonald’s International Innovation Center in Chicago.  McDonald’s has 100’s of patents for various pieces of equipment!

Mmmmm, I think I will pick one up for breakfast on my way to work tomorrow…
