So you may have read my last post about how I hate cooking. Crazy isn’t it? I have 8 children yet I hate cooking. Seriously. I hate it. So I decided to take the initiative and change my ways for 2013. Yes! I have decided to cook atleast one real meal a week – in other words, one meal that isn’t from a box!
To start, I decided I should go simple, so as not to get overly anxious and irritated. Chicken I figured is easy enough so that was what I made. One dish of chicken was seasoned with shake n’ bake (I gave myself some slack and convinced myself that technically shake n’ bake doesn’t count as a boxed meal – just go with it please). My bravery went up a whole notch for the other dish of chicken. I used a bit of oil and montreal steak seasoning! You have to understand, I rarely use any type of spices and or seasoning on anything so this my friends is a huge step!

I had to leave to take Marie to training so I wasn’t able to see the children’s reactions when they saw what I had made for them. However, when I returned there wasn’t much left so obviously they enjoyed it.
Of course, I could be completely wrong and may just end up with a clogged toilet from food that they claimed to have eaten……………
