What Odds?

October 7, 2007 by Jen

I went to my weigh-in at Weight Watchers today, feeling slightly ambivalent.

On the one hand, I’d had a few dietary slip-ups in the preceding week.

On the other, I’d been to the gym several times.

I stepped on my home scale (a lying little digital bugger that switches back and forth between pounds and kilos for no apparent reason) and seemed –– against all odds — to be down. But there’s no telling for sure with my home scale.

I got to Weight Watchers just as the meeting was letting out (oops!), stepped on the scale and…

…weighed EXACTLY the same as I had last week, right down to the 3/10ths of a pound!

What are the odds?

I find the strangest part about that is that Weight Watchers actually measure to the 10th of a pound!?
Stick to the gym and only a few slip-ups and you’ll be down next week for sure.
I think all scales are liars. That’s why I don’t have one. I go by the waist band test…if it’s too tight it’s time to get back on the wagon.

My scale is also a liar! If it were a person, we would definitely not be friends! LOL
It gives me hope that I have lost only to discover there is a 3 pound difference between my scale and the WWs scale, just not in my favor!
