what ever happened to…

March 18, 2008 by Jen

the return of the Coreys in the sequel to The Lost Boys got me thinking. about a great new idea i’m developing. a "where are they now" segment. Today we are going to experiment and see…you let me know if you like or don’t like. or if there’s anyone you want me to dig for some information on…

The Cast of Full House

what were you doing between 1987 and 1995?? chances are good, if you had any access to a television, then you have likely watched at least one episode of Full House…and when someone says "cut. it. out." you know exactly what they are talking about.

Photobucket
Bob Saget, who played the squeaky-clean (literally) patriarch, Danny Tanner…certainly kept a squeaky clean image off the set as well. He was the host of America’s Funniest Home Videos for seven years. But once the shows were over, the real Bob was able to surface. Known as one of the dirtiest of stand-up comedians, Saget has been seen all over the place – in Half-Baked, The Jeff Foxworthy Show, SNL, Entourage, and had a part in the documentary The Aristocrats. He currently plays the narrator on How I Met Your Mother, and still does stand-up.

Photobucket
Dave Coulier played the fun-loving Joey on the show, and struggled the most after the show ended. According to Wikipedia: After a brief stint in reality TV with The Surreal Life and Skating with Celebrities, Coulier continued to make regular television appearances as the host of shows like Animal Kidding and America’s Most Talented Kid. He continues to tour the US and Canada as a stand-up comedian, and recently Coulier launched a youth-oriented comedy website, cleanguys TV.

Photobucket
John Stamos, as the hair-loving elvis-loving Uncle Jesse, won the hearts of females across America. and it certainly is his most famous role. He was also well-known as having been married to the famous Rebecca Romijn. He landed a starring role on his own show, Jake in Progress, but it was canceled after only 2 episodes. John currently has fallen nicely into the role of Dr. Tony Gates on ER.
Photobucket
As the eldest Tanner daughter DJ, Candace Cameron dealt with many issues, like eating disorders and crazy boyfriends. Candace’s real life couldn’t be more different. Candace pretty much left the entertainment business to focus on her family. In 1996 she married NHL player, Valeri Bure (who she was introduced to by Dave Coulier). They now have three children together. She did make an appearance on Disney’s That So Raven recently.

Photobucket
the former "how rude" Stephanie Tanner is now pretty much only famous for her role as a recovering meth addict. Jodie Sweetin didn’t do much acting after Full House ended. She has recovered from her addiction and is currently pregnant with her first child. She and her husband Cody Herpin are very excited.

Photobucket ah, the Olsens. Mary-Kate and Ashley, who both played the role of the youngest Tanner daughter, Michelle, can easily be classified as the most successful to come out of this show. They are possibly two of the most successful young actors ever. In 2003, it was estimated that the twins’ worth was somewhere around $150 million… each.they, of course, are not without controversy, with Mary-Kate’s eating disorder and possible affiliation with Heath Ledger’s death and both girls’ interesting fashion tastes, one of them always seems to be in the limelight.

Now that ‘cilla has emerged on Dancing with the Stars (thank goodness her body isn’t as botoxed as her face)I wonder where the other cast members of Dallas are? Who wasn’t glued to the tv Friday nights to watch this star studded ’80’s soap.

Great idea! Love the pictures of everyone. Doesn’t Bob Saget host a game show now as well – 1 vs 100? Would like to know about the cast of Happy Days. Looking forward to the next installment…

Love this idea! Wasn’t Dave Coulier also Alannis Morrisette’s boyfriend & topic of her song “Oughta Know” or is that just a rumour?
I would love to hear about some early 80’s icons like Leif Garret, Jimmy McNichol, and Ralph Macchio. OK – have totally just aged myself!!! I loved that show SISTERS too.
