I love weddings. I never want to get married but I love to go to the odd wedding (although truth be told, I laugh at my 30-something co-workers whose whole summers are bogged down in showers and weddings…see there are SOME things better about getting older). Some people would say that I don’t have a romantic bone in my body (yes you JW) BUT that’s not true – I’m just not sure I believe that people are meant to be married for 40 years.
Something tells me Jack White and his wife Karen Elson are playing for the same team as me. From their anniversary/divorce announcement, it appears they’re cutting their losses while they still love and respect each other….you know before Jack starts texting pictures of his package to women other than his wife (Weiner anyone???).
A little unconventional? Sure. But at the risk of taking a beating from all of you – why not??? I bet it was a hell of a party!
On the flipside, Lily Allen got married this weekend. I need to ask you – who the hell is Lily
Allen? I’m serious – the Kardashians, the Hiltons – I get that they’re famous for being famous and not much else BUT Lily Allen? She’s like this Katie Price I read about – I honestly have no clue who they are. So she got married. Congrats! Maybe 6 years from now when she throws her divorce party, I’ll know who she is and get an invite? Hmmmm. She does look like fun!
Okay – I must be totally out of it….I just don’t know her (I mean I do…but I don’t – you know what I mean??) I used to mix her up with Katy Perry…but now I know that one is married to Russell Brand and one isn’t! DOH!

I was thrilled to read that she got married and is expecting. She suffered a horrible loss last November…I believe she was 6 months pregnant with a boy. And in 2008 she lost another baby when she was about 4 months pregnant 🙁
