Wednesday Affirmation

December 9, 2009 by Amber_Mommed

Happy Wednesday everyone!
You know, at this time of the year, I often find it more difficult to get myself motivated to stick with it when I’m working on projects. I don’t know if that’s because the daylight hours are shorter, or because there’s so much distraction in the lead-up to the holiday season. Whatever the reason, I find myself needing a bit more of a reason to get moving and stick to it.
That’s why this week’s Wednesday affirmation is on the theme of effort and success. It might be a bit tougher to get motivated sometimes, but the everyday efforts that we make will add up over time to create success. So go for it!

Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out. –Robert Collier

Definitely rings true for my daughter’s skating skills.
My daughter has been enrolled in figure skating lessons for 2 years and has made little progress. My husband and I were ready to give up on the lessons altogether. We decided to stick with it and thank goodness we did! Over the last 3 weeks she has blossomed. Small efforts made weekly for my daughter eventually added up to great success! My daughter has reminded me that sticking with something, even something that you’re not good at, can pay off.

Good point! I sometimes have a hard time getting motivated in the winter, too. Gotta keep this one in mind.
