Wednesday Affirmation

November 10, 2009 by Amber_Mommed

You know that icebreaker that the corporate trainers always pull out at big meetings? The one where you have to come up with a list of the five people, dead or alive, that you’d most like to have dinner with? Well, I kind of like to keep a running list of those kind of people (and no, it’s not THAT kind of list, à la Ross & Rachel of Friends…).

And at the top of my historical dinner-party list? Albert Einstein. So this week, my Wednesday Affirmation comes from him:

Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. — Albert Einstein

I thought it was also very apropos to Remembrance Day today.

When I read this quote I immediately think of my children. This is a mantra that definitely applies to raising children.
