This morning I did something I have never done before. I went for a winter walk.
Alone.
With my camera.
I’m not sure why I haven’t done that before but I will do it again. It was peaceful. Relaxing. Fresh. I felt healthy. It was nice smiling and saying hello to all the seniors out on their morning walk.
The snowfall last night left a light blanket of snow over everything and it was stunning.
After I dropped the kids off and went on my Timm’ys run, I headed home and grabbed my camera. I wanted to capture the beauty of the neighbourhood before the mild air melted it all.
I gotta say I love where I live.
Also – I love snow. I love rosy cheeks and red noses. Cozy snowpants and warm mittens…focusing on the positive here, people…

I do get a little sick of it by around mid-January, but until then I will enjoy every snowfall and hope for a white Christmas!
We haven’t had the easiest few days here with Cuyler, so it was therapeutic for me to be out there breathing the peaceful, fresh air. It was necessary alone time. Me time.
My drained battery has been recharged.

Beautiful photos. I love the frost on the trees and how well you’ve captured that bit of peace winter brings. Just what you needed 🙂 Thanks so much for sharing. Here’s to better days ahead!

I love your shot of the taaaaaaall trees the best, lady. Good eye! And good for you for taking a bit of ME time like that. Sometimes a bit of a walk is all we need.
Of course, if you don’t drive a car, then this would probably not work as well for you. *ahem*
Here’s hoping the days get easier for you, girl! xox
