I was asked to contribute to The Urban Closet… I’ll warn you right now that there *might* be more kid stuff here, since I tend to dress them waaaaaay cuter than I dress myself.
I actually snapped this pic yesterday, but since a friend of mine in New York commented that it was “another outfit I would totally wear” I thought I’d include it. I suppose it’s how I tend to dress kids anyway: in something I might wear myself. Or at least, a reasonable facsimile.
One other thing – I almost never pay full price for anything, ever. I’m all smart like that, you see.
So, Ava Scarlett wears:
black t-shirt – Old Navy
gold ruffle cardigan – Joe Fresh
super-old jeans (knees now blown out) – H&M Kids
billy boots – Canadian Tire
Tracey says
I love the Old Navy socks – Im so sorry they dont fit Oliver any more – they were perfect!!
And I think that cardigan was about $14… gotta love Joe Fresh!!
Tracey says
I know how it is, Jen… and plus, most of their stuff costs about $12, so it never feels like a lot at the time. But man, I loves me a bargain!!
Jen says
Work it, girl! She is so adorable. And I never pay full price for anything…except occasionally for my kids because it is just too cute *shame*

I’m a total sale and Winners shopper, too. I’m totally depressed to find out that |Old Navy’s $1 turncuff socks are only in toddler sizes and if Girl 7’s feet ever grow any more, I will have to find some other source that is bound to be less cheap.
And your girl? So cute! Am loving the cardigan.
Tracey says
I think youd look adorable in it, Jennifer…
Ill see if I can make myself presentable to show you what I wear sometimes, but I Im not NEARLY as cute as this child is. Heh.
Jennifer says
Definitely an outfit I would totally wear, but something tells me I would never look as awesome as Ava Scarlett!
I look forward to more glimpses into the Grumbles” closet.
