Yeah. The tutus.
I bought this one from the place the rhymes with Sinners when this girl was just a wee babe. The pattern on this skirt was a good one (sometimes leopard prints can just be too brassy and bad) and I knew as long as it was “dressed down” it would always rock pretty hard.
It’s got an elastic waistband, so the thing still fits, years later. I pair it with a black t-shirt and those excellent Converse All-Stars, just to cut the sweetness. A t-shirt that says, “Princess” across the front would be too much, in my opinion. Black patent-leather Mary-Janes? No. Jean-jacket and/or motorcycle boots? YES! It’s all about balance – too much sugar will give you a toothache.
And barefoot works pretty well too…
(I swear to the Baby Cheeses that I never, ever get my kids to pose for pictures – I say “stand over here, please” and she does what she does. And yes she did wink at me, holy crap.)
Madame wears:
black t-shirt with pocket – Zara, $5
leopard tutu with black satin bow – Winners, $14

Totally LOVE this!! My sister bought my Missy Doodle a fushia pink tutu that has a satin bow & has white polka dots! I put a tshirt with it too & her flip flops (because she SO loves them! I’m kinda worried what is going to happen when we have to go back to “real” shoes.) Everyone commented how cute it looked.
Awesome. My girl is not into girly things these days, so I’d never get that on her, though the wee boy might just be thrilled. You have one stylin’ kid, lady.
omg, Tracey, you have two 40 (or 41, whatever) chunky, tutu-lovin friends named Patricia?? Thats better than winning the lottery, yo.
Never!! Everyone should have one, in my books… 😉
Um, is it inappopriate for a 40-year-old chunky girl to want a leopard-print tutu? Because I am ALL OVER THAT.
Me too – and I WISH this one came in a larger size… balls.
i would wear a tutu every damned day if i could. and i love this one.
